Mice then perceive a danger zone causing them to evacuate the area.The pulse is transmitted at approx 40-50 second intervals and covers an area of approx 625sq metres.The repeller transmits its signal in all directions approx 15 m so they can be placed approx 30m apart in high risk areas, it is always recommended to use two or more units to get the best results.The sentinel repeller works with a solar charged battery. Choose the best sun situation enabling the solar panel to receive the light directly.First it will sound like “Di” at approx 50 sec intervals, second “Di Di Di” then Third “Di Di Di Di Di ”then it will repeat cycle.Installation procedure:Attach the connectors from the aluminium spike to the wire from the head of the unit Connect the small black connector on the battery holder to the other connector on the wires coming out of the top section. Gently feed this and the wires down into the spike section and secure head to spike section. Make the light plastic connected to the aluminium spike and top sectionInsert the spike into the ground paying attention not to damage the unit. The spike should be firmly planted while leaving the base of the head 1-2” above the ground. We suggest use a crowbar to first make a small hole and gently push the spike in or dig a small hole and backfill with earth after the unit is in place. Do not use a mallet, hammer or excessive force as this may damage the unit. Be careful not to break the plastic tip.

You can tell the unit is operating, as it makes a “Buzz’ sound as it transmits its signal, normally if you stand quietly close to the unit you should hear this, if for any reason you have a “noisy one” build up some garden mulch around the unit taking care to leave the solar panel exposed – this will normally quieten it considerably. Sometimes the unit may need a short time in the sun to give a boost and start up, when first installed.
